Commonwealth Water Purification Co. offers a variety of water filtration equipment, custom-designed for your particular needs.
WATER SOFTENERS – we carry single-tank models with timers, single-tank models with water meters and dual-tank models with water meters. Water softeners are used to soften water, as well as remove moderate amounts of iron and manganese.
AERATION SYSTEMS – dual-tank aeration systems are available for iron and manganese removal. These systems are chemical free and require no maintenance on the part of the homeowner. A neutralizing resin can be added to the system, if necessary, to help with corrosion control.

NEUTRALIZING FILTERS – to correct for low pH, resulting in corrosive water, a neutralizing filter is used. This system will raise the pH of the water and stop copper (blue-green stains) from leaching out of your piping system.
CHEMICAL FEED SYSTEMS – this is an alternate method for corrosion control. The system uses a small feed pump that injects neutralizing solution directly into the stream of water as it enters the home. This system is ideal for water with very low pH (below 6.0).
REVERSE OSMOSIS FILTERS – this is a POU system that is used specifically at the kitchen sink. The unit has a pre-filter, osmotic membrane and post filter with a 3 gallon storage tank and faucet. This system is used to filter drinking water to remove VOCs, sodium, arsenic and a variety of potentially harmful chemicals.
WELL-CHORINATORS – this system is used for wells with very high iron (above 10 mg/l). It has very specific parameters under which it will work effectively, so it cannot be used successfully on all wells. When used appropriately, however, this system eliminates very difficult to treat iron water.
Commonwealth Water Purification Co., Inc., specializes in:
OZONE SYSTEMS – this system is used to treat water with high iron and odor problems. Iron bacteria and hydrogen sulfide (rotten-egg odor) create very unpleasant water. This dual-tank, maintenance-free system eliminates the problems with resultant bottle-quality water.
ARSENIC REMOVAL – this whole home, dual-tank system uses a two-step process of oxidation and filtration for the removal of the arsenic. In addition to removing arsenic, the system will also handle iron and manganese problems.
RADON REMOVAL – this FDA approved method (aeration) for radon removal consists of a compact unit containing an aeration chamber, blower, motor, vent and pump. The total size of the unit takes up as much space as an average washing machine.
We also carry other custom-designed filters for specific water quality problems. Contact us for further information on any of the filters and systems that we handle.
